Teen Advisory Board

The Chadron Public Library's Teen Advisory Board involves young adults in the work of the library by seeking their ideas on programs, services, and materials specifically for teens, thereby improving teen services at CPL. The Teen Advisory Board meets on the second Friday of the month at the Library.

Activities:

  • plan and attend programs at the library
  • help select materials for the YA collection
  • publicize Young Adult activities to peers and schools
  • write book reviews for the Teen Spot web site
  • help create an inviting Teen area
  • discuss new books
  • provide volunteer help for Teen programs

Benefits of membership:

  • making your ideas count
  • gets you involved in your community
  • looks good on resumes and college applications
  • members get first crack at new books

Board members must:

  • be a student in grades 7 through 12
  • have an CPL library card
  • attend at least six meetings a year
  • have fun!
